Town Auditors

Vermont state law (24 V.S.A. § 1682) requires a town's auditors to meet annually at least 25 days prior to Town Meeting to compile an annual report on the town's accounts, bills, and financial status. This report is based on the auditors' findings in their monthly reconciliation of the town's finances.
