Trash & Recycling

For convenience of residents and those in nearby communities, the Town of Shoreham provides the location for weekly trash, recycling, and compost drop-off. The Town of Shoreham does not operate these weekly events; please contact R&L Rubbish directly with questions.

Alternatively, residents can arrange for trash and recycling pickup from a private provider; contact information for some local companies is provided below.​

PLEASE NOTE: Burning trash is illegal in the State of Vermont.

Trash Burning is Illegal

(And dangerous! And gross!)

Per Vermont law, it is illegal to burn trash; see 24 V.S.A. § 2201 for the entire statute.
